Hallelujah, La Brasa Could Open in March

The oh-so-long-anticipated La Brasa may open as soon as March, reports Zagat in a round-up of exciting 2014 openings around the country. The East Somerville restaurant comes from Frank McClelland and Daniel Bojorquez, who have just closed up the last remaining Sel de la Terre location. La Brasa promises Peruvian chicken and more. A preview menu served at an event all the way back in April 2012 included dishes like Peruvian grilled beef heart anticucho; chile-rubbed lamb saddle with quinoa and shallot fondue; and duck egg dulce de leche flan with pistachio croquant.

RODE Architects and Jason Hoynash at Blue Barn are collaborating on the project. RODE's website shares a number of renderings of the space; one interesting detail is the existence of a "CSA market," which appears to include a small dining area, to the side of the main dining room. No word on whether these renderings are still accurate as at least some of them have been posted for a year or more, though. The Broadway location is right by East End Grille, which opened in June.
