'Year of the Horse' Shots; Tap to Become Tap Trailhouse

ALLSTON — Shanghai Social Club is celebrating the Chinese New Year with 14 days of food and drink specials, starting today. "Year of the Horse" shots, which are hopefully drinks and not weird vaccinations, are $4, and Tsingtao beer is $3. [FB]

FANEUIL HALL — A Boston Nightlife Ventures bar, The Tap, is closing briefly to reinvent itself into the Tap Trailhouse, "a new drinking and dining destination with a Colonial feel." It'll be back in early March. [BRT]
