FENWAY — Sweet Cheeks has landed on Epicurious' list of the country's best chicken wings, among such luminaries as Pok Pok in Portland, OR and NYC and the birthplace of it all, Anchor Bar in Buffalo, New York. Sweet Cheeks' "monster wings" just hit the menu this month, and they have "an irresistible caramelized crust" thanks to the melting of the sugary dry rub. [Epicurious]
LEGENDS OF TODD ENGLISH — Zagat catches up with Todd English at the Mohegan Sun WineFest and asks him what's going on with the mysterious missing liquor license at Figs, the renovations at Isabelle's CurlyCakes, and how it felt to shut down Olives. "I'm letting myself move on to new and better things," he told Zagat. "Not better, but new and different things...something new and exciting. I can't tell you exactly what yet. But in a few weeks, you'll hear." So, stay tuned for something new, better, not better, exciting, and different. [Zagat]
JAMAICA PLAIN — The recently-opened Aurum, a small Lebanese-inspired restaurant in JP, will be featured on an episode of a new Food Network series called "Buy This Restaurant," which premieres on February 5th.
