The potential river-crossing expansion of Mike's Pastry could happen by late May or early June, according to Boston.com, provided the necessary special zoning permit is approved. If everything's a go, the shop will be around 1,100 square feet and almost entirely focused on takeout, offering only six seats for those who need to devour their cannoli before going back outside. Everything will continue to be made at the original location in the North End, and it'll be delivered to Harvard Square each morning.
