ALLSTON — Construction is moving right along at the soon-to-open, brick-and-mortar location of Roxy's Grilled Cheese. Owner James DiSabatino tells Eater that there will be beer and wine, but since there's no room for taps, the beer list will consist entirely of cans. He had previously hinted at a menu that is not exclusively grilled cheese, and now he says that there will in fact be burgers. [~EBOS~]
BELMONT — The third El Centro, logically dubbed El Centro Tres, will open in Belmont in March. Good news — it's got a full liquor license. [Boston.com]
ROXBURY — On February 11th at 7pm, Michael Reiskind, vice president and historian of the JP Historical Society, will give a talk at Haley House Bakery Café on "The Lost Breweries of Roxbury and Jamaica Plain." At the turn of the 20th century, Boston apparently had the most breweries per person of all cities in the entire country, and many were around Stony Brook. The lecture is free, and dinner will be available for purchase starting at 5pm. [Dorchester Reporter]
