· Bostonia Public House will open next month in the former Kitty O'Shea's space, and this is what it'll look like (designed by HGTV's Taniya Nayak). The menu will be "refined rustic."
· Cocobeet could open late next week by Government Center, selling fresh juices and assorted snacks with lots of vegan, raw, and gluten-free options.
· The Ginger Man, a Houston-based small chain of taverns, is trying for a second time to get into Fort Point. Its first attempt a few years ago was shut down by neighbors, but it has now leased a space near Row 34 where there are less neighbors to object to a 2am closing, which the owners consider essential.
· The Glenville Stops could open in late February. Its menu was briefly online, featuring a lot of small plates (chicken gizzard pinchos) and a few large plates (roasted chicken).
· Kindred, a "tea & tonic cafe" adjacent to Johnny D's and from the same ownership, "will be ready when it's supposed to be." Progress is being made — tea blends are being formulated, teapots are being crafted by hand at a local pottery studio.
· Tavern in the Square will open its newest location right in the middle of South Station this coming Wednesday. It'll have 32 beers on tap and a mini version of the menu from the larger Taverns.

· For Eater's The Gatekeepers series, Ribelle's Theresa Paopao chatted about reservations, communal dining, differences between dining out in NYC and Boston, her surprisingly controversial wine-by-the-glass list, and lots more.
· In the latest hybrid pastry news, there is a thing called a cakearon. It's a gluten-free, dairy-free cake/macaron hybrid from Violette in Cambridge.
· The sale of Les Zygomates and Sorriso rumored over the summer has been finalized, and some changes are on the way, including a new name for Sorriso (eventually), but the new owners "hope to preserve what the regulars like most about the two restaurants."
· In this week's Board Wrap, Yelpers and other online reviewers lament dart boards with no darts, servers worse than brick walls, ladies with eyelash extensions, and more.
· Alpine Restaurant Group, which owns The Painted Burro and Posto appears to have a mysterious new concept on the way in addition to the upcoming second Burro location. Additionally, there might be future plans for out-of-town expansion of the existing concepts.
· Ramen lasagna is a thing that exists.
· Here's a photo of Whisk's Jeremy Kean fist-bumping Guy Fieri after winning an episode of Guy's Grocery Games.
· In this week's Up for Grabs, a turn-key restaurant is available for lease at $2500/month on a very busy corner of Blue Hill Ave. in Mattapan.
· This week in Chef Faves, Brian Poe (The Tip Tap Room, Estelle's, Poe's Kitchen at the Rattlesnake) chatted about some of his current favorite dishes around town, ingredients to use, and more.
· Ribelle launched brunch service this weekend. The opening menu contains things like cereal-crusted French toast (eggplant syrup, caramelized onion sugar), burnt cinnamon rolls (apple butter, cream cheese frosting), and potato raviolo (beef hash, salsa verde, yolk).
