Tavern in the Square Is Almost Open in South Station

Get ready to indulge in some beer before your next train ride. A Facebook post from late last week announced that the newest Tavern in the Square would open — not in a square, but in South Station — in the middle of this week. An employee reached at the Allston location today confirmed that the new space is not yet open, and he could not provide a date, but construction appears to be nearly finished. The mini, 40-seat South Station incarnation of the growing Tavern chain will have 32 beers on tap and a smaller version of the usual menu.
