ALLSTON — DooWee & Rice, which closed its original Somerville location recently to focus on moving to Allston and expanding to London, is almost ready to relaunch at Wonder Bar in Allston. According to a Facebook post, there will be a trial run of baos "and possibly a few ceviche dishes" over the next week or two, Thursday through Saturday. [FB]
MAGOUN SQUARE — Every Wednesday night in January, from 5pm-11pm, Olde Magoun's Saloon is celebrating "Baconpalooza IV," a special bacon-centric menu. Dishes include bacon poutine, lobster bacon rangoons, bacon bomb mac & cheese, and other porky delights. [Official Site]
HUB-WIDE — Malden-based food truck Makin' Jamaican will be hitting the Boston proper streets this spring; locations will be determined by the lottery that takes place later this month. The truck, which launched a year and a half ago, has made appearances in Dudley Square and Ashmont but mostly stayed around Malden in previous seasons. [FB]
