A planned South Boston restaurant called Coppersmith could open as early as April, according to a Boston.com article. A project from John Childs and Jerry Curtains, Coppersmith will be a massive restaurant and bar with high ceilings and close to 250 seats, plus an outdoor patio and rooftop garden, and there will even be space for two food trucks inside to "supplement the main menu and provide space for cooking competitions and other events." The space used to be a machine shop.
The cuisine will be "affordable" comfort food with a "farm-to-table" spin, and the space will be more cafe-like during the day before turning into a regular full-service restaurant at night.
