When renowned chef José Andrés was in town to give a talk as part of the Harvard Science & Cooking lecture series, an MIT scientist in the audience approached him and thus began a collaboration that has resulted in several science-based cocktail garnishes, like a boat that moves across the drink thanks to surface tension.
