Star Wars Week at backbar; Kish Debuts Menu at Menton

UNION SQUARE — It's Star Wars week at backbar. From this Wednesday through Sunday, the Somerville bar will be serving drinks with "creative nerdy" names like "Obi Wan Negroni," and Episodes II through VI will play in the background. Nick Korn, formerly a bartender at Citizen Public House, thought of the idea with backbar's Sam Treadway, and Korn will guest bartend during the week. Also: costumes and prizes. [Official Source]

FORT POINT — On September 24th and 25th, Menton is hosting preview dinners of Kristen Kish's debut menu as chef de cuisine. $350 gains you a seat to a five-course feast with wine pairings; groups of 10 can reserve the Chef's Table for $5000. [Official Site]
