Harborside Inn Opens Psychedelic Lounge

Photo: Harborside Lounge/Facebook

The Harborside Inn, a boutique hotel in the Financial District, quietly opened a lounge (dubbed The Harborside Lounge) earlier this summer, but the space is anything but quiet. Perhaps in a bid to cure colorblind guests, it looks like the result of Barbie's Malibu dream house getting hugged by a giant leprechaun clad in 80s wear. As one Facebook commenter points out, "some B52s tuneage" would fit well.

Once your eyes adjust to the "sexy new neon-heavy bar and lounge," you'll find a variety of seating options, from the bar to sleek communal tables to cozy-looking couches. You can drink Starbucks coffee by day and cocktails by night. An earlier Facebook post suggests a bar menu as well, but no further information is available at this time. Stay tuned.
