Celebrate Fake Holiday with Free Burgers; Fluff Fest

HUB-WIDE — Tomorrow is apparently yet another made-up food holiday, National Cheeseburger Day, but on the bright side, there are free cheeseburgers to be had. Kings is offering their cheeseburger for free between noon and 10pm tomorrow, while The Tap will feed a free cheeseburger to anyone (21+) who purchases a $5 Sam Adams. Any other free cheeseburgers up for grabs? Comment below. [Press Releases]

EAST CAMBRIDGE — Like ribs? Check out East Cambridge's fourth annual Rib Fest, taking place from noon to 4pm on October 20th. Participating restaurants include Area Four, East Coast Grill, Puritan & Co., Trina's Starlite Lounge, and more. $20 gets you 10 rib samples, while a $75 "meateater" ticket gets you ribs from every participant (while supplies last), a t-shirt, VIP line-cutting privileges, and more. UNION SQUARE — Somerville celebrates its eighth annual What the Fluff? Festival on Saturday, September 28th, honoring that spreadable marshmallow topping that you either love or you hate. Taking place from 3pm to 7pm, the free festivities include musical and burlesque performances, games, and contests. [Union Square Main Streets]
