If you're one of those people who has always wanted to get into home-brewing, but something always gets in the way — space, cost, time, knowledge — here's the next best thing. Head to Hopster's Brew & Boards, which just opened over the weekend in Newton, to spend two hours creating your own brew under the guidance of people who know what they're doing. Munch on some charcuterie while you're there. Then, go home while your beer ferments for a couple of weeks. Finally, pick up your cases (or have them delivered). Simple.
Keep reading for a sneak peek of the space in its near-complete form (our photographer stopped in late last week just after the installation of the kettles) and to ogle the meaty menu, which features locally sourced and created products from New England Charcuterie in Waltham. There are also flatbreads, cheese, and a few appropriately themed desserts, like beer and bacon cupcakes and Belgium ale cookies.
