A tipster reported that ice cream "truck without wheels" Churn 2 appeared to be in place and ready to open at Harvard's Science Center Plaza yesterday. Eater swung by in the evening to discover that the big grey shipping container was doling out samples of strawberry ice cream, made to order in a process involving liquid nitrogen, a visual spectacle that never really gets old. An employee reported that they're still working on training, but they could officially open as early as this weekend. Notes from a license hearing meeting in July indicate that Churn 2 also plans on selling coffee and t-shirts, and a Facebook post suggests that a non-dairy ice cream flavor is in the works.
