Cook Opens in Newton Tomorrow

Cook, a new venture from Paul Turano of Tryst in Arlington, opens tomorrow at 4:30pm in Newton. The 80-seat restaurant features wood-fired dishes like flatbreads and pizzettes, "snacks" such as popcorn and house-made pretzels, salads and sandwiches, and heavier entrees like fried chicken and bacon-wrapped trout.

It's just dinner for now (from 4:30 to "when there are no more customers" seven days a week), but brunch will be added on Saturday the 21st, subsequently taking place on weekends from 10:30am to 2:30pm. Weekday lunch will begin on October 1st, Monday through Friday from 11:30am to 3:30pm.
