Beat Hôtel, the new Harvard Square spot from The Beehive team (Jack Bardy, Jennifer Epstein, Bill Keravuori, and Bertil Jean-Chronberg) opens to the public tonight at 5pm. You'll have to go see for yourself what's on the menu; it hasn't yet been revealed, but the restaurant promises that it'll be "fresh, seasonal, and wholesome" and "enjoyable for carnivores and vegetarians alike" with influences from "around the world." Meanwhile, the bar program is focused closer to home with American spirits and American small-batch wines.

Like its South End sibling, Beat Hôtel will feature live music nightly. There are 328 seats, including multiple dining rooms and bars, and the name pays homage to an old French hotel popular with members of the beat poetry movement. (Similarly, The Beehive is named for an old Parisian artist enclave.) Last year, Jean-Chronberg chatted with Eater about how the team has worked to create The Beehive's similar vibe; the same likely applies to this new endeavor.
