Maws Menu Porn; Lord Hobo Founder Founds Brewery

SOMERVILLE — Tony Maws' new restaurant, The Kirkland Tap & Trotter, opens this coming Monday, and Boston Magazine has the debut menu, from salmon heads and Alsatian tarte flambe to a "grilled big piece of meat (for 2 people)." And there's a burger (but not the Craigie burger) for $17. [BM]

NORTH SHORE — Lord Hobo founder Daniel Lanigan is planning on building an 150,000-square-foot contract brewery on the North Shore worth $18 million. Paragraph 11 Brewing, named for an old German drinking society, could be operational by 2015. [Brewbound]

MAGOUN SQUARE — On Wednesday evenings through the end of October, celebrate Oktoberfest at Olde Magoun's Saloon with special dishes like jagerschnitzel and sauerbraten. Each week has a different beer promotion as well; tonight, Hofbrau is featured. [Official Site]
