New Painted Burro Confirmed for Downtown Crossing

As previously reported, Joe Cassinelli, the owner of The Painted Burro and Posto, both in Somerville, is opening a restaurant on Temple Place in Downtown Crossing. Director of operations, Alec Riveros, tells Eater that the new restaurant will be another location of The Painted Burro. Expect a "lot of similarities to the Somerville location" in a "much bigger" space. Construction has not yet started as the restaurant is in the final stages of design. The new Mexican eatery will be opening in the space formerly occupied by retailer Windsor Button.
