CENTRAL SQUARE — The Prospect St. outlet of Lyndell's Bakery has announced that it will close due to an "inability to renew [the] lease." The space has long been rumored to be Tasty Burger's next target. Lyndell's 125-year-old Somerville location at 720 Broadway will remain open. [FB]
BU CENTRAL — Renovations are almost complete at the final Espresso Royale Caffe, converting to become a Pavement Coffeehouse. (Pavement bought all local outlets of the Midwest-based Espresso Royale chain in 2006 and has been changing them over to Pavements over the last couple years.) It'll reopen tomorrow, August 31st. SEAPORT DISTRICT — The Fourth Annual Mass Brewers Fest takes place tonight from 6pm to 9:30pm at the World Trade Center. More than 30 breweries will be sampling their wares. Online ticket sales close at 6pm, or you can pay $45 at the door (cash only).
