El Centro, a Mexican restaurant in the South End, spawned an El Centro Dos in Brookline in late June, and now El Centro Tres is on track to open in mid-November in Belmont. The Belmont Board of Selectman tentatively agreed to a full liquor license for the restaurant, reports the Belmont Patch, and the board chair Mark Paolillo reportedly said that he'd "like a margarita with [his] Mexican food."
The 66-seat restaurant will have a menu similar to the other locations, with dishes like Sonora-style steak, barbacoa tacos, and, yes, margaritas. Watermelon sangria and spicy mango mojitos have made appearances at El Centro Dos, so perhaps those will be on the menu as well.
