A new restaurant called Pier 6 is taking over the Tavern on the Water space in Charlestown, and it appears to be nearing an opening. "cross your fingers for us big wk final touches..taste of what's to come," writes the restaurant on Facebook, sharing the above collection of photos. Owner Charles Larner also owns Mija Cantina and Tequila Bar at Quincy Market, and Greg Reeves, formerly executive chef at Green Street in Cambridge, will run the Pier 6 kitchen. Previous reports indicate a focus on seafood and American cuisine, plus outdoor grilling, pending neighborhood approval.
