Another shuttered Upper Crust location appears to be converting into a different pizza joint. Universal Hub reports that the West Roxbury location, an Upper Crust franchise that closed in late June, outlasting the mass shutdown of most of the non-franchise locations, is now being sold. Potential new owner James Loftus wants to turn it into a new restaurant called Parlor Pizza, and he's also trying to buy the liquor license and close at midnight instead of 11pm. The Boston Licensing Board meets next week to consider the sale.
Other former Upper Crust locations are also turning into alternative pizza shops, such as The Just Crust (Harvard Square), Crush Pizzeria Napoletana (Financial District), and The Proper Slice (Back Bay).
