A "unique, Modern Asian dining concept" called Roka is now hiring, according to several Craigslist posts. An opening date has not yet been announced for the South End restaurant, which will be located at 801 Massachusetts Ave. Previous reports indicate that it'll be a 7,000-square-foot restaurant with sushi, a bar, and private dining rooms.

The job posting states that it's "part of a small, high quality, growing restaurant organization." Could it be connected to the Roka that used to be open in Cambridge, or perhaps the small set of restaurants called Roka in London and Hong Kong? The latter group features Japanese robotayaki cuisine — skewers of food grilled over charcoal, while the former — a more logical connection — served sushi until it closed around 2008. Design firm SöKA Studio posted construction photos earlier in the summer and estimated a July opening date. Got any intel of your own? Hit up the tipline!
