Another Max & Dylans makes way for a Papagayo. As previously reported, the Legendary Restaurant Group is replacing its Downtown Crossing location of Max & Dylans with its Mexican-inspired concept, Papagayo — which also happened to the Charlestown Max & Dylans earlier this year. Zagat reports that the downtown closing happened yesterday, and the renovations might only take a week or so before the space is reborn as Papagayo. Tequila snowcone lovers, rejoice.
The only remaining Max & Dylans is a relatively new outpost on the Bedford and Billerica border. As for Papagayo, there's already a Fort Point location and the new Charlestown location, and Somerville is in the works, at Assembly Square.
