The Columbus Hospitality Group's upcoming seafood restaurant that is taking over the Avila space will be called Ostra (Spanish for "oyster,") not Columbus Fish & Oyster, as previously reported. Zagat describes the upcoming project as "upscale," and it could open in the fall. Aside from the oyster translation, Ostra could also refer to a central Italian town of the same name, located in Marche, which features abundant seafood on the coast. A rep for the Columbus Hospitality Group previously told Eater that Mistral's Mitchell Randall will be executive chef for the new restaurant now known as Ostra, and Jamie Mammano will be chef/owner. The group also owns Mistral, Teatro, Sorellina, Mooo...., L'Andana, and two hotels.
