Have you made it through the first nine special dishes yet? Just two more to go! This weekend, you've got to work Boston Chops into your brunch plans. Owner/executive chef Chris Coombs grew up in Peabody, where he would hit up the infamous Bill & Bob's Roast Beef on some late-night high school excursions. He always got the same thing: Super Beef with cheese, sauce, and mayo for $4.95. He and his friends nicknamed it "the 3 way."
In honor of those days, Coombs has created "A Tribute to Bill and Bob's Roast Beef 3 Way" for Greasy Spoons Week: prime top round shaved thin, North Shore BBQ, American cheese, and horseradish mayo served on an onion roll, "just like the good old days." It can be yours for $11, but it's only on the brunch menu, so get there between 10am and 3pm this Saturday or Sunday.
