DOWNTOWN — Chef Brian Poe (The Tip Tap Room, etc.) is serving a Muppet-themed menu at a showing of The Muppet Movie at Revere Hotel's Theatre 1, and he must have a sick sense of humor, because French-fried frog legs are the first course. This monthly installment of the REEL Chefs dinner-and-movie series takes place on July 30th, and tickets are $50. [Eventbrite]
DOWNTOWN — There's still plenty of summer left, and now you can live it up with boozy Italian ice at Davio's. The alcohol-infused semi-frozen granitas come in a few different flavors, including passion fruit with Grand Marnier, and they only cost $4. [Official Source]
INMAN SQUARE — Puritan & Co. launches brunch service this Sunday, July 21st, and it will take place between 11am and 2pm from now on. "The main attraction," says a rep for the restaurant, is the communal table, which becomes an a la carte "Provisions Table" full of a rotating selection of housemade treats like Boston cream doughnuts, ham and cheddar biscuit sandwiches, and babka. Diners can get up and serve themselves. [Official Source]
