Shakespeare in the Park Picnicking; Restaurant Week

HUB-WIDE — It's that time of the year again: the Restaurant Week news has started to trickle in. The "Week" is actually two almost-weeks, August 18-23 and August 25-30, and participating restaurants will offer two-course lunches for $15.13, three-course lunches for $20.13, and three-course dinners for $38.13. DOWNTOWN CROSSING — Shakespeare in the Park is in full swing on the Common most days between now and July 28th, and nearby Back Deck is offering a picnic meal to go. Offerings include grilled shrimp skewers, a smoked turkey club, and strawberry shortcake. [Official Site]

SOUTH END — A food festival with a very long name is coming to Boston this fall. James Beard Foundation's Taste America "Local Flavor from Coast to Coast" Traveling Food Festival will travel here on October 18th and 19th, featuring a dinner with Brooke Vosika, Joanne Chang, Will Gilson, and other local chefs.
