Boston Location of Gene's Chinese Flatbread Opens Soon

Chelmsford-based Gene's Chinese Flatbread Cafe could open its upcoming Boston location early next week, Boston.com's Restaurant Hub blog reports. It'll be located at 86 Bedford St. in Chinatown in the former Burritos Express space, and for now, only weekday lunch is available (11am-4pm) — no dinner, no weekends. Owner Gene Wu's authentic Western Chinese cuisine includes hand-pulled noodles (virtually impossible to find in Boston), flatbread sandwiches stuffed with beef or pork, and a lamb stew. There are a few less authentic classics as well, like crab rangoon and chicken teriyaki.
