Some Boston restaurants are celebrating Independence Day by closing for a vacation day (or week) or reducing hours, while others are offering special treats and events on the 4th (that'd be this Thursday). Here's a compilation of openings, closings, special deals, and more. Open on the 4th
· Anthem Kitchen: Open normal hours on July 4th.
· Aquitaine: All locations open normal hours on July 4th. Boston location will serve brunch at 10am, $9.95 prix fixe all day, and a special "liberté" menu at night [via Twitter]
· Aragosta: Harborside pig roast between 3pm and 8pm; a la carte menu and cash bar. Options include pork sliders, fish tacos, and cotton candy. [via BostonChefs]
· ArtBar: All-you-can-eat barbecue buffet (hot dogs, burgers, etc.) for $50 (includes two drink tickets and unlimited soft drinks), 5pm to 9pm. [via BostonChefs]

· Beacon Hill Hotel & Bistro: "Celebrating all things '4' by offering a 4-course seasonally inspired meal for $44 per person" between 5:30pm and 11:00pm. Courses include a fresh pasta with Woodbury's clams, peas, and house-made ham and a mixed berry shortcake. Regular menu also available. Reservations recommended. [via press release]
· Bistro du Midi: Celebrating both American and French independence with a prix fixe menu offered from the 4th through Bastille Day on the 14th, 5pm to 10pm each night for $45/person. Options include zucchini flower beignets and coral-infused tagliatelle. [via press release]

· Citizen Public House: Starting at 4:30pm, there'll be picnic-inspired food (barbecue) and drinks (red and blue slushies, Jell-o shots). · Clink: Red, White & Ewe — Lamb sliders, sausage, and more on the patio from 5pm to 8pm, plus live music, cocktails, and wine. The $30 ticket includes a drink and four lamb dishes. [via BostonChefs]

· dante: Italian-American Beer Dinner with Dogfish Head Craft Brewed Ales — a five-course prix fixe menu with beer pairings. Passed apps and cocktails on the patio begin at 6:30; the seated dinner begins at 7:30 in dining rooms overlooking the Charles. $115/person.
