LYFE Kitchen, a fast-casual restaurant with two locations in California, is looking to open in Boston as part of a planned 250-restaurant national expansion. A representative for LYFE Kitchen tells Eater that the company "is now targeting the Hub." LYFE Kitchen was founded by former McDonald's executives Mike Roberts and Mike Donahue and seeks to popularize healthy dining options developed by chefs Art Smith and Tal Ronnen. The existing Lyfe Kitchen locations in Palo Alto and Culver City, CA serve dishes like "ancient grain buttermilk pancakes" and a "quinoa crunchy wrap." All menu items have fewer than 600 calories and under 1,000mg of sodium. See here to check out the various menus and stay tuned for further details about a possible presence in Boston.
