Tomorrow — Saturday, June 29th — will apparently be the last service for Avila, a Mediterranean restaurant in the Theater District. Several Eater tipsters heard the news from the building's security team and noted that rumors of a pending sale had been swirling for some time. Representatives for Avila have not yet confirmed the closure, but the restaurant is not accepting reservations past Saturday on OpenTable, and Adam's Hospitality and Tourism Industry Blog confirms that tomorrow will be the last day. Owner Steve DiFillippo also has a small chain of Italian steakhouses, Davio's, with locations in Boston, Foxborough, Philadelphia, Atlanta, along with a new casual offshoot, Davio's Cucina, in Chestnut Hill.
