Back in 2011, Jen Fields spoke with Eater about corn rage, door bribes, and more at Toro, where she was GM for five years. Now she's moving on to a new adventure as GM of Alden & Harlow, Michael Scelfo's upcoming Harvard Square restaurant in the former Casablanca space. Fields has also worked at Charlie's Kitchen and Myers + Chang.
Aside from Scelfo and co-owner Brian Lesser (Storyville, Sweet Cheeks), Fields is the first glimpse of the Alden & Harlow leadership team. The restaurant is slated to open later this summer, and Scelfo will be previewing some snacks on a July 6th EatBoston harbor cruise called Steakcation. Previously, he told Boston Magazine's Chowder blog to expect "a heavy emphasis on seafood, homemade pastas, some smaller sides meant to be shared, and some fun snacky stuff for the bar" when the restaurant opens.
UPDATE: Alden & Harlow is now seeking a beverage director.
