Call for Eater Boston Summer Interns

New, 2 comments

Summer's in the air, and Eater Boston is seeking some fresh meat to help out for the next few months. The number one requirement is that you eat, sleep, and breathe the Boston restaurant scene - and it certainly doesn't hurt if you read Eater obsessively. An interest in journalism is a huge plus, as is a bag of varied tricks. Can you write, shoot gorgeous photos, and talk to strangers with ease? Can you turn a dull licensing meeting into a hilarious story? Can you transcribe interviews while keeping an ear out for breaking news?

The internship is unpaid, but you will have the chance to build up your writing and/or photography portfolio, meet fascinating folks in the restaurant industry, and probably attain a bit of eternal glory. Timing and location are flexible, but you should be in the Greater Boston area and able to get around Boston, Cambridge, and Somerville relatively easily. Does this sound like you? If so, send a short email to boston@eater.com with one paragraph about yourself, one paragraph about your interest in the gig, and a subject line that states the upcoming restaurant opening about which you're most excited. No attachments or resumes, please, but feel free to include a link to your blog or portfolio, if you've got one. If we like what we see, we'll get back to you soon. Thanks!
