Don't worry, more froyo is on the way downtown in case nearby locations of Fresh Mango, Pinkberry, JP Licks, Wild Cherry, Froyolo, etc. don't sufficiently meet your needs. (Only one of those doesn't actually exist...yet.) FroZenYo, which also goes by Fro.zen.yo, but never Frozenyo, started moving into 277 Washington St. in Downtown Crossing way back in December, and the opening finally appears imminent. A Craigslist post indicates that the Washington, DC-based self-serve chain is now hiring a team for "the transition into downtown Boston." Like other self-serve chains including Orange Leaf and Sixteen Handles, FroZenYo gives customers the chance to mix and match yogurt flavors with a variety of candy and fruit toppings, so you can end up with something like maple bacon donut and pumpkin pie froyo topped with gummy bears, chocolate chips, and mango chunks. FroZenYo also has a "Your Way Parfait" station for those who prefer their self-serve froyo non-fro, and there's even a self-serve coffee unit called Zombie Coffee with a variety of options. Stay tuned for an opening date, or hit up the tipline with any froyo intel.
