Hell's Kitchen Auditions; Porcine Pleasures at Craigie

CENTRAL SQUARE - Craigie on Main's Whole Hog Dinner has been announced for July 24th, featuring six courses of "porcine pleasures" and "piggy parts" for $98. Add $55 to wash it down with "swine-friendly" wine pairings. [FB]

THEATRE DISTRICT - Former Hell's Kitchen finalist Jason Santos is hosting casting calls at Abby Lane on July 8th for the next season of the show. Potential cheftestepants "must be prepared to endure the heat and tension of Chef Ramsay's kitchen along with his temper and wild personality." Interested chefs can sign up for an audition online. HUB-WIDE - At-Large Boston City Councilor Ayanna Pressley has filed a petition to eliminate the state cap on restaurants' alcohol licenses, which would give the power to the city to approve licenses without hitting an upper limit set by the state. The petition will have to go through various hoops to get passed - City Council, the Mayor, the State Senate and House, and finally the Governor. [BosGuy]

PROVIDENCE - James Beard nominee Bun Sukle opens a new restaurant in Providence tomorrow called birch. The modern American menu will feature dishes like Rhode Island Berkshire pork with charred and raw cucumber, rhubarb, and sofrito. [Official Source]
