The Regal Beagle declares itself a "neighborhood joint" right in its logo, so it's fitting that new chef Stacy Cogswell, formerly of UpStairs on the Square, wants to emphasize the neighborhood feel with her summer menu, debuting today. Some of the comforting favorites remain from before, like bacon and blue cheese dates, Ritz cracker and truffle oil-bedecked mac and cheese, and a cheeseburger. Cogswell has added some Middle Eastern flavors on the new menu - green garlic hummus, fattoush, merguez sausage - and plenty of hints of summer, especially in the form of corn and tomatoes.
