Does Kaju Tofu House plus Shabu-Ya equal Kaju Tofu & Shabu Shabu House? Boston Restaurant Talk reports that Shabu-Ya, a hot-pot spot in Harvard Square, is applying to change its wine & malt beverages as a restaurant license over to a new business at the same address called Kaju Tofu & Shabu Shabu House. Meanwhile, a Kaju Tofu House already exists in Allston, specializing in Korean food - sundubu jjigae, a soft tofu stew, in particular. Could this new Harvard Square business be a hybrid of the two existing restaurants? The proposed hours are 11am to 1am, seven days a week, and the license hearing is scheduled for next Tuesday. Stay tuned for updates, or hit up the tipline if you know anything more.
