Yet Another Permutation of Strega in The Works

The expanding brand of Strega by The Varano Group may soon include yet another venue. There's already Strega in the North End, Strega Waterfront and the affiliated Caffe Strega - plus plans for Strega Prime in Woburn - and now the company is looking to open Strega Pizzeria and Cafe in the former home of clothing store Casa di Stile, right next to Strega at 371-373 Hanover Street in the North End. So Strega Pizzeria and Cafe would be to Strega as Caffe Strega is to Strega Waterfront. NorthEndWaterfront.com shares that news, saying Nicola Varano has filed an application to transfer the beverage license from The Varano Group's former Nick Varano's Famous Deli, which itself is rumored to be reopening as something new - perhaps yet another kind of Strega? The company does run one non-Strega restaurant: Nico.
