The only restaurant still closed due to the Boston Marathon bombing reiterates that it will not remain closed forever. In fact, Forum suggested that it might even expand in a recent Facebook post declaring "We will return, bigger and better!" Boston Magazine food editor Leah Mennies also reports that Market and Myers + Chang alum Matthew Barros will be taking over as chef when Forum does reopen. A prior post by the restaurant said that Forum "was ground zero as the second bomb exploded right on our patio, injuring several guests, runners and some of our staff." At one point, forty local restaurants were temporarily closed. The above photo was taken nine days ago: since then, the restaurant has added a banner to its boarded-up front saying "Coming Back Soon." Stay tuned for an opening timeframe and more details.
Update: a new post from Forum indicates that a summer reopening is in the works with "a new look, new feel, new
chef and new menu." [Facebook via BRT]
