Pret a Manger Might Go for Three

The British fast-casual chain Pret a Manger is looking to open another location in Back Bay as it had been rumored to do. The Boston Business Journal reports that a Pret a Manger is applying for a license to move into what is now Eastern Mountain Sports at 855 Boylston Street, as the store is slated to close. Pret a Manger first opened in Boston at 185 Franklin Street in November 2012, with a second shop opening at 507 Boylston Street later that same month. A trusted industry source previously told Eater to expect possible locations in Harvard Square, more in Back Bay, and beyond. While the company still has to be approved by the licensing board, the BBJ makes it sound definitive, saying EMS "will be replaced by sandwich chain Pret A Manger."
