Behold The Blue Leather Booths of Sterling's

Sterling's soft-opened at 60 State Street a week ago today, and if all goes according to plan, full service will start tonight. Food, drink and decor are inspired by that pinnacle of gastronomy that was the 1960's. On the menu: clams casino, Swedish meatballs, braised pork belly with Dr. Pepper, pork schnitzel with blue cheese cream, lobster casserole and carrot cake. Cocktails are lumped into "then" and "now" sections, including a Singapore Sling (gin, cherry brandy, pineapple, soda) and a Mad Men Mule (bourbon, lemon, mint, ginger beer), respectively. Once full service begins - again, it could be tonight, but stay tuned for confirmation of that date - expect three meals a day plus weekend brunch. Has the nostalgic quality of Sterling's made you feel nostalgic for the days when Sterling's itself was just a floor plan? Here, take a stroll down memory lane.
