Priciest, Cheapest Apt. Rents; $9.5M Sale; $250K 2-BRs

BACK BAY - The 9,817-square-foot mansion at 130 Commonwealth Avenue, with its private elevator, its five fireplaces, its 2,200-bottle wine cellar, and its six deeded parking spaces (six!), closed for $9,500,000. The new owner wants to rent it for $43,000 a month.
HUB-WIDE - Here's your latest rundown of the cheapest and priciest areas to rent an apartment. In Boston overall the estimated median monthly rent for all homes, available or otherwise, was up 9.1 percent annually in the first quarter to $2,380.

CAMBRIDGE - Former Governor William Weld's old 8-BR, 4.5-BA, 6,755-square-foot manse at 28 Fayerweather Street finally traded for $3,500,000. It had been listed for as much as $5,000,000.
DORCHESTER - We're spotting Boston 2-BRs for under a quarter-mil all over the place! The latest is at 24 Rowell Street, where a 2-BR retailed recently for just $235,000.
