The first North American location of Mongolian restaurant Little Lamb is now open at 326 Cambridge Street in Beacon Hill in what was formerly The Spotted Apron. An employee tells Eater that Little Lamb opened yesterday, May 2, and is now serving lunch and dinner. The restaurant comes from the Xiao Wei Yang Company, which operates 597 restaurants worldwide, according to its website. The website also says that "the signature dish of Xiao Wei Yang Company is Xiao Wei Yang's 'sacred' hotpot soup." Indeed, there are several hotpot options here, including "Mongolian Spicy Herbal" and "Strengthen Tomato Broth" plus a wealth of things to simmer in those broths. The menu also includes a Mongolian barbecue section, including lamb chops and chicken wings. Noodles, dumplings, meat pies (think bao) and Chinese dishes also make appearances. See below for additional menu highlights.
