Imminent downtown Aussie coffeeshop and meat pie vendor Cuppacoffee tells Eater that it will be soft-opening this coming Saturday, May 25, with a grand/hard opening following on Tuesday, May 28. Cuppacoffee joins existing Australian restaurants KO Catering and Pies in Southie and KO Pies at the Shipyard in Eastie as well as the somewhat Australian coffeeshop Flat Black, with locations in the Financial District and Dorchester. To honor the debut of its Merrimac Street location near the Haymarket T station, Cuppacoffee will be giving away 300 miniature meat pies to patrons who purchase a drink starting at noon on Tuesday, May 28 and going until supplies run out.
Correction: the 300 pies will be given away on May 28 and not on May 25, as previously written.
