Bars are few and far between in Arlington, and they're only found within restaurants, but East Arlington is slated to receive a new venue that actually has a synonym for bar in its name. The Arlington Patch reports that Menotomy Grill & Tavern "should open to the public by the end of next week." The restaurant and bar is headed for 25 Mass Ave, not far from Teele Square and just over the line from North Cambridge. Former Chez Henri chef de cuisine Mark Thompson serves as the chef, and the opening menu includes items like fried pickles, a vegetarian chef's tasting, and flatbreads. There will be seating for 150 plus more on the patio, and 24 thirsty, eager Arlingtonians can snag a stool at the bar. Stay tuned for that opening date.
Update: it's open.
