Jackson Cannon with Multiple TOTC Nominations

A big year for Jackson Cannon at the upcoming Tales of the Cocktail cocktail conference in New Orleans. His and owner Garrett Harker's three bars in the Hotel Commonwealth are up for multiple major awards. Island Creek Oyster Bar and Eastern Standard both received one nod each (for Best Restaurant Bar and World's Best Hotel Bar, respectively). The Hawthorne, which Cannon co-owns with Harker, has received three nominations: World's Best Cocktail Menu, World's Best Drink Selection, and Best American Cocktail Bar. Cannon, himself, picked up a nomination as Best Mentor. Also nominated from Boston: Brick & Mortar's Misty Kalkofen, who is up for International Bartender of the Year, No. 9 Park for Best Restaurant Bar, and Drink for World's Best Cocktail Bar. The award winners will be announced at the New Orleans Hyatt Regency on July 20. Stay tuned to hear how they fared.
