Tavern on The Water Space to See New Life?

The owner of Tavern on the Water's building might have a tennant looking to open a new restaurant, under a new name, this fall reports Charlestown Patch. The well-known waterfront restaurant closed in November when Legendary Restaurant Group (Papagayo, Sip Wine Bar, others) declined to renew the lease. Charles Larner, owner of Mija Cantina and Tequila Bar at Fanueil Hall is looking to transfer the liquor license from property owner Martin Oliner, who is an unpopular figure in Charlestown stemming from concerns related to his stewardship of multiple Charlestown properties.
