The father of current Miss Universe champion Olivia Culpo will be involved in opening a new bar and restaurant in what was until recently Cafe Brazil on Cambridge Street in Allston, says Boston.com. Peter Culpo already owns Woody's Grill and Tap and is a partner in the two Parish Café locations in Back Bay and the South End, and here he plans to open something along the lines of The Hill Tavern by this summer, says the article. Meanwhile, rumor had it that Cafe Brazil was being sold to the owners of The Hill Tavern, and so there's a good chance that Culpo is involved in that, too.

The space is being "completely renovated" and will have "a great beer selection." The Hill Tavern, meanwhile, serves lunch, brunch and dinner including dishes like Cobb salad, burgers, fish and chips and pizza, if that's any indication as to what might appear here. So don't bet on any revivals from Cafe Brazil; apparently the new, yet-unnamed restaurant will bring true diversity to the neighborhood by not being ethnic.
